Information We Collect and How We Use It

• Device-Specific Data: We collect device-specific information like your device type, operating system version, and device identifiers. This information helps us diagnose technical issues and improve the app's performance.

• File Metadata: When you share files, we may collect metadata about the files, such as file type, size, and date modified. This information is used solely to facilitate the file transfer process and is not linked to any PII.

• Connection Information: When you share files via WiFi or Bluetooth, we may collect information about your network connection, such as signal strength and connection speed. This information helps us optimize the file transfer process and ensure a smooth experience.

• Cloud Storage Authentication Tokens: If you choose to connect your Google Drive or Dropbox accounts to share links, we securely store authentication tokens on your device. These tokens are used to access your cloud storage accounts and share links. We do not have access to your cloud storage credentials or the contents of your files.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

We use Firebase SDK for analytics and crash reporting purposes. This data is anonymized and aggregated to help us understand how people use XD Transfer and identify areas for improvement. We do not share this data with any third parties.

How We Share Information

We do not share your data with any third parties, except for the following limited purposes:

• Cloud Storage Providers: If you choose to share links from your Google Drive or Dropbox accounts, we will share the necessary information with these providers to facilitate the sharing process.

• Law Enforcement: We may disclose information to law enforcement or other government authorities if required by law or in response to a valid legal request.

Data Access and Use

• Email Address: When you connect your Google account to XD Transfer, we access your email address. This is displayed within the app interface solely to:

  • Identify Connected Account: Help you easily recognize which Google account is linked to XD Transfer.

  • Enhance User Experience: Provide a personalized experience and facilitate account management.

• Google Cloud Storage:  XD Transfer utilizes Google Cloud services to store data related to your transfers. We do not access, read, or modify the contents of your Google Drive files or any other personal information within your Google account, except as necessary to complete transfers you initiate.

Data Sharing

XD Transfer does not share your email address or any data stored in your Google Cloud account with third parties, except as required by law or with your explicit consent.

Your email address is stored localy on your device for the duration of your account connection.

Data added to your Google Cloud account during transfers is stored in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Your Control

• You can disconnect your Google account from XD Transfer at any time through the app's settings. This will stop our access to your email address and prevent further transfers to your Google Cloud account.

• You can manage your Google Cloud data directly through your Google account settings.

Your Choices

• Disconnect Cloud Storage Accounts:** You can disconnect your Google Drive or Dropbox accounts within the app settings at any time.

• Delete App Data:** You can delete all app data, including cached files and authentication tokens, by deleting the app from your device.

Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement appropriate measures to protect it from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. However, no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

Children's Privacy

XD Transfer is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app or on our website.
